Most ice cream vans keep an engine or generator running for as long as they serve, often for hours, parked a few metres from your guests. Ours doesn't. The freezers and soft-serve machine run on battery power topped up by solar, so the only thing anyone notices is the ice cream.

We didn't change what goes in the cone. Our soft serve won a medal at the National Ice Cream Competition, run by the Ice Cream Alliance, and it's the same recipe served from a brand-new, spotless serving area.

No. The freezers and soft-serve machine run from the van's own battery system, which is topped up by solar panels, so we don't need to plug in or keep an engine running while we serve. We just need somewhere safe and level to park.
It's the same soft serve recipe that won a medal at the Ice Cream Alliance's National Ice Cream Competition, plus sundaes, desserts, milkshakes and ice-cold slush. Only the power source has changed.
Anywhere we already cover: all of Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire. It's especially good for courtyards, marquee lawns, school fields and office forecourts, where a running engine would be a problem.
