Privacy & Cookies

Austins Ices is a family-run ice cream van hire business based in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect and why.

Information you send us

When you use our booking form we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number, event type, date, postcode, number of guests and any message. We use them only to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and run your booking. They are stored securely, shared with no one else for marketing, and kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our business records. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a booking (and our legitimate interest in running the business).

Cookies

We use Google Tag Manager and related Google tools to understand how visitors use the site (which pages are viewed, how people find us). These are only switched on if you press Accept on our cookie notice. If you press Decline they stay off. The site works the same either way. Your choice is stored in your browser, and you can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. You can also clear cookies from your browser settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
