On 19 July, the hottest day of that year at 33°C, the phone didn't stop ringing. One van covered six bookings.
We started at Moston Fields Primary for the last day of term, then Aldermore Bank in Wilmslow, where senior managers served their staff. Next came Rainow Primary near Macclesfield, where the head teacher served pupils on his last day before retiring, then Dial A Flight in Sale.
We finished in central Manchester at Car Finance 247 and Claims Protection Agency, with managers behind the hatch again.
